SnapTask — Privacy Policy

SnapTask is an Android application developed by Quordesk Labs (Morocco). Website: snaptask.org. This policy explains what data the app collects, why it is collected, and how it is handled. We are the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the app.

1. Data Stored Locally

All tasks, notes, tags, and app settings are stored exclusively on your device in a local database. This data is never uploaded to any server. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted unless you have created a backup.

No personal data (name, email, location, contacts, photos) is ever collected or transmitted by SnapTask.

2.2 International Data Transfers

Crash reports and analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States by Google LLC. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For details, see Firebase Privacy.

2.3 Opting Out of Analytics

You can limit analytics data collection by revoking internet permission for SnapTask in your device settings (Settings → Apps → SnapTask → Permissions → disable network access). This will also disable crash reporting and license verification. SnapTask does not currently offer an in-app analytics toggle; if this changes, this policy will be updated.

2.4 Advertising ID

SnapTask does not use the Android Advertising ID for ad targeting. Firebase Analytics may collect a device identifier for aggregated analytics purposes only. No advertising profiles are created.

4. Backups

When you create a backup, a copy of your local database is saved to a location you choose via the Android share sheet. Backups are never uploaded automatically. You control where your data goes.

5. Data Retention

Your tasks and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Crash reports and anonymous analytics are retained by Google per their standard retention policies (typically 90 days for crash data, 14 months for analytics).

6. Children's Privacy

SnapTask is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the app, please contact us at ftgygh0@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such data.

7. Your Rights

Since your tasks and settings are stored locally on your device, you have full control over them at all times. You can delete tasks, export your data, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. No account creation is required to use SnapTask.

7.1 Rights Under GDPR / UK GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding the limited data processed by Firebase and Gumroad on our behalf:

To exercise any of these rights, email ftgygh0@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Because SnapTask requires no account, we may need to ask for information (such as your Gumroad order ID or device crash identifier) to locate any data associated with you.

7.2 Rights Under CCPA / CPRA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. SnapTask does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact ftgygh0@gmail.com. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the limited data SnapTask processes:

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to applying current Android best practices.

9. Data Breach Notification

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal data processed in connection with SnapTask, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours where required by law (GDPR Article 33), and we will notify affected users without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the document for at least 30 days.

SnapTask — Terms of Use

Effective date: April 5, 2026

By installing or using SnapTask, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 years old to use SnapTask.

1. License

Quordesk Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SnapTask on your Android device(s) for personal or professional productivity purposes.

2. Free and Pro Tiers

SnapTask offers a free tier with core functionality. A Pro subscription (currently $2/month) unlocks additional features such as CSV export. Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through Gumroad. By purchasing Pro, you also agree to Gumroad's Terms of Service.

2.1 License Keys

Pro access is activated via a license key provided by Gumroad after purchase. Each license key is for your personal use. Sharing, reselling, or distributing license keys is prohibited and may result in revocation.

SnapTask is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for any data loss — you are responsible for creating backups of your tasks.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quordesk Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of SnapTask. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Pro access if you violate these terms (e.g., license key abuse). If we terminate your Pro access without cause, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining subscription period. You may stop using the app at any time. The free tier remains available regardless.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Morocco.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, via the app or the email associated with your license key (if applicable). Continued use of the app after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
